Climate does have an influence in our lives. (Priya, I changed my mind. Rather climate made me do so.) Why else am I nursing a child on a November day? He got a very good throat infection and fever. We know winter is here when we see an increase in the number of patients before a paediatrician.
The people who are sad, when all are well and enjoys a healthy life are the private doctors and pharmacists. There are also people who can’t be happy when everyone on earth lives in harmony with no disputes. They are the lawyers.
Neighbourhood lady: Where do you take your son when he is sick?
I: Hamad hospital in Al Khor
NL: Is there any Malayalee doctors for children there? We trust Mallu doctors only. We usually go to Rafa in Doha.
I: No Mallu doctors. But Doha is too far. By the time we go and come back patient will get another disease. So if it is not an emergency I take him to the paediatric emergency here!

Very bad actually. It's my try to put some humour. He is getting better.
ReplyDeleteSomehow this notion of trusting only 'mallu' doctors is prevalent everywhere. It happens to me too sometimes!
