Super Star Movies

I don’t have any blind faith in Super stars of Kerala but the two films I watched during these holidays had super stars.

1. Madambi
Mohanlal played the role of a money lender in it. Liked all one line humours. Except for two or three actors all others failed in using the slang properly. I am so familiar with it (Thanks to all my friends in Adoor, Mallappilly, Pala, Thiruvalla and Pathanamthitta.) that I found its usage in the movie artificial.
2. Parunthu
I felt blessed for not watching it in a theatre and also for watching it through a pirated CD. Mammooty is also a money lender in it. He is a hard nut. But he undergoes transformation after a serious accident. But there was nothing much he could do to transform the world. No one is ready to trust him due to his previous character. This is a zero humour movie. I liked a line which I would like to spread throughout the world.

Madhyapanam Thadikku Kedu
Keesakku Mosam

Alchoholism is injurious to health and wealth.

I am not a teetotaller, but have never drunk so much to lose my mind. We have to take responsibility for ourselves, our actions and the children we bring in to this world. All gents reading this should know one thing, we (ladies) may look cute when we are drunk but you don’t.

Watched both of them in a stretch and found Madambi much better. We planned to see the super movie “Veruthe Oru Barya”. I could see only “Veruthe oru Bharthavu” because he couldn’t keep his promise, which was to take me along with friends for the movie. His sincere attempt failed because, only a misleading ad of the movie came to Doha cinema center during that time.

  1. Anju once said - all these heroes become superstars and then procced towards getting plump. The latest example at that point of time was Madhavan.

I will always remember watching Yodha with you guys in the hostel :0
